When you hear those words, what image pops into your mind? Is it the image that is the stereotypical and mystical gypsy in her dimly lit room surrounded by colour staring intently into a crystal ball while she predicts the future? Is it magic or superstition or perhaps the occult? And what is it about the stigma that Psychics are just Fortune Tellers and why does that cause people react in ways that are sometimes not so nice? Is it the scepticism, fear of what may be said? It is a topic I am genuinely curious about.
One of the things that intrigues me is that most of us have heard of a ‘magic 8 ball’ and we have either seen one or played with one at some point in our lives. It’s a ball where you think of a question and shake it and it gives you an answer. You then either choose to accept that answer as truth or you laugh at it and dismiss it. They are entertaining and usually produce a healthy amount of laughter and banter. Sometimes they surprise you with the accuracy. A magic 8 ball is a tool for divination. Other divination methods are palmistry, astrology, tarot card readings, feng shui, pendulum, spiritual healing, crystals, psychometry, and the list goes on. Regardless of the chosen form of divination, it all involves reading energy.
Did you know every single one of us can read energy, regardless of your age, gender, race, religion or beliefs? We have all walked into a room or met a person at some point in our lives where we have felt an instant uneasy feeling or a really light joyful feeling or, perhaps, had a feeling of recognition, like we’ve been there before. That is reading energy. The method or tool used to read the energy is just that, a method or tool.
Now, I personally, do not think anyone can tell you your ‘fortune’ with absolute certainty, as what your future holds is always subject to free will choice. A Psychic can, however, read energy, using whatever their method or tool of choice is which can help a client gain a deeper understanding of a situation or scenario they are facing and give some more clarity, guidance, and support. Some Professional Psychics, like myself, also have a therapeutic background, so you can not only come away from a reading with a fresh perspective but also with strategies and support to overcome hurdles and roadblocks that you may be facing.
Of course, you always have free will power of your own and having a healthy level of scepticism is always a good thing too. Being open is what is important which will enable you to take what sits and fits for you and dismiss what doesn’t, just as you would with any other situation or scenario in your life. The knowledge, guidance and support you can obtain from seeing somebody who can read energy can lead to personal power and success in chosen aspects of your life, regardless of their label. Is that not something we all strive for?
